At our house, we love to get festive and make memories that last a lifetime. This year, we tried something different for Halloweenโwe had the kids dress up in costumes and pass candy out to trick-or-treaters instead of going out trick-or-treating themselves. The evening was filled with laughter, smiles, feel-good matching pajamas, and lots of fun activities.
What We Did
We started the evening off by having the kids put on their costumes and creating a fun atmosphere with decorations and music. We invited their first cousins over to join in on the fun. Then it was time for the โtrick or treatingโ to begin! We set up a table in front of our house with candy and other goodies for the children who visited us. It was so much fun watching them pick out their favorite treats!
In addition to passing out candy, we also played some games, ate pizza, and enjoyed time with our relatives while waiting for the doorbell to ring. Everyone had a great time! Even though it wasnโt quite like traditional trick-or-treating, it still felt special in its own way.
The End of the Night
When all of the trick or treaters had gone home, we ended the night all cuddled up in bed in our matching pajamas. It was so cozy! We spent some time reflecting on how much fun we had that evening before finally drifting off to sleep.
This yearโs Halloween was definitely one for the books! We got creative with how we celebrated this holiday, but it still felt special in its own way. It is nights like these that make me cherish my family even more than I already doโand I know my kids will remember this night fondly for years to come! 🎃🤩💖
