Stepping into a new year always feels like a fresh breath of air in our home. As we enter 2026, I am doing so with a full heart, a clear mind, and a deep sense of gratitude for the life we are building together. The beginning of the year invites me to slow down, reflect honestly, and realign our family with what truly matters most.
As a homeschool mom of six, January is not about rushing into resolutions or trying to overhaul everything overnight. Instead, this season is about intention. It is about creating space for thoughtful choices that support our family, our home, and our overall wellbeing.
For me, my January intentions include nourishing my body in ways that feel sustainable, honoring my planner as a tool instead of a burden, and choosing rest without guilt. I am focused on simplifying our home, measuring what truly matters, and managing our time and energy with care. I want to create rhythms that support our family instead of rushing through our days just to check things off a list.
Just as important as what I am welcoming into this new year is what I am leaving behind. I am intentionally stepping away from forced relationships, overconsumption, and living without a plan. I am releasing the need to overexplain myself and choosing not to ignore pain points that deserve attention. These things no longer belong at our table.
This year feels less about doing more and more about doing what aligns. It feels like choosing clarity over chaos and focus over noise. It feels like giving myself permission to grow alongside the little people I am raising, knowing that progress does not have to be loud to be meaningful.
I am deeply grateful for this life, this family, and the grace to evolve with intention. As we step into 2026, my hope is to lead our home with peace, purpose, and presence.
Happy New Year from our family to yours. May this year bring clarity, calm, and alignment into your life and home as well.
