Halloween was filled with fun and laughter this year! 🎃 Each of us had our own unique theme, and it was so exciting seeing everyone bring their costumes to life.

Zoe transformed into the sweetest unicorn 🦄, while Zyla became the most graceful ballerina bat 🦇, spinning and twirling with her wings. Tenor and Tru teamed up as little pirates ☠️, Terron became our very own Black Panther—although, thanks to the warm weather, he ditched the costume and mask halfway through the night 😂. I had so much fun stepping into character as Dr. Seuss!

One of my favorite parts was helping each of the kids get into costume. There’s just something magical about seeing them light up as they step into their Halloween characters. I also took some extra time to make sure we had plenty of candy stocked up and ready for trick-or-treaters, so our porch was ready for the early birds while the kids and I handed out treats. Later, Terron took the kids out to trick-or-treat, while I stayed back to keep the candy flowing for the trick-or-treaters stopping by our house.

Watching the kids have so much fun, laughing, and fully embracing the Halloween spirit made it a night to remember. 🧡 Can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Today, I’m feeling an overwhelming mix of gratitude, relief, and joy. 🥹 A few months ago, my world was shaken when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Just three years ago, we lost my mom to the same illness, and the fear of reliving that pain was almost unbearable. I remember sitting beside my dad in that first appointment, my hands trembling and my heart racing as the doctor said those words. Cancer. In that moment, it was like time stood still, and I knew I had to be strong, not only for him but for my entire family. 💔❤️‍🩹

Dad’s journey through chemotherapy was nothing short of inspiring. Even in the face of pain and exhaustion, he was always the life of the party—bringing smiles to the hospital staff, sharing advice, and somehow always finding laughter in the toughest moments. Every treatment day, I’d sit by his side, watching his resilience and hoping with every prayer that his story would have a positive ending. And just when things felt overwhelming, life surprised us in the most beautiful way. I found out I was pregnant with baby number six.

Our family was given a gift I can hardly put into words. A few weeks ago, we found out that my dad’s final chemo treatment would be on my birthday, October 29th. It’s hard to explain the emotions that came over me. For months, I dreamed of seeing him ring that bell, marking the end of this fight, and now it would happen on my birthday. I couldn’t have asked for a better gift. 🎁

On October 29th, my birthday, Dad rang that bell, officially a cancer survivor. 🔔Seeing him walk out of his final treatment, full of hope and ready to continue living his life, is a moment I will never forget. This birthday, I was overwhelmed with gratitude—for my dad’s strength, for my growing family, and for the promise of new beginnings. Thank you, Dad, for teaching me to never lose hope. Here’s to life, love, and the precious moments we get to share. 🙏🏽🎉
